Alana started practicing yoga in 2011 after an acquaintance strongly suggested she give it a try. She fell in love with the focus and clarity she got from hot yoga and never looked back. Years later, she completed an intensive that brought about a yearning to learn more about the history of yoga and everything related to the practice.
The perfect opportunity for yoga teacher training arose in 2016 and Alana could not resist. She completed her 200 hour training with Yoga of the Sacred Wheel and has been teaching as an RYT-200 since October 2016.
Alana teaches vinyasa flow classes and incorporates the chakras using pranayama, or breath control, to move our bodies through a series of asanas (poses). Her goals during a class are to learn to observe the fluctuations of the body and mind, and ultimately bringing stillness to oneself. All levels welcome.
