Jeannine's yoga journey started more than seven years ago when her physical therapist recommend it after knee surgery. Clumsy and stiff as a board, she started to engage in the restorative side of yoga to aid her recovery. During this time, Jeannine was in the middle of a journey to lose weight and prioritize her health. By combining different forms of physical activity, including yoga, with proper nutrition, she was able to lose 70 pounds in just over a year.
Jeannine fell in love with fitness so she became a personal trainer for weight lifting and cardio through NASM. She continued to enjoy yoga regularly and started noticing positive shifts in her anxiety, thoughts and daily habits. This led her to practice daily and gave her the desire to share yoga with others. Jeannine completed her 200 hour yoga teacher certification in New Paltz, NY. She teaches and practices from a place of self observation and determination. Jeannine works hard to let go of expectations so she can learn something new every time she steps on her mat. Her hopes in teaching this practice to others is to help instill a sense of awareness and to give people the tools to take care of themselves mentally and physically.
