Mary Beth discovered yoga’s healing benefits 20 years ago. She has been passionate about health, fitness, and wellness throughout her life. Mary Beth is a Yoga Alliance Registered Teacher, having completed two 200 hour certifications: Hot Warrior Yoga with Jennilee at The Hot Yoga Spot in 2014, and Detox Yoga with Mark Kinder in Saratoga Springs in 2012. Mary Beth is currently in her advanced 300 hour yoga teacher training program and will complete her requirements for the 500 hour RYT in August 2017. Mary Beth has also received certifications from BarreFlow, Cyndi Lee’s Om Yoga Online Restorative Yoga Teacher Training and the YMCA Group Exercise Instructor course.
Mary Beth loves sharing the practice of yoga with others and making yoga accessible and safe for everyone. She enjoys guiding people to experience the many benefits yoga has for the mind, body and spirit. Her warm, engaging style and her passion for helping others achieve their goals on and off the mat are reflected in her classes. Her special teaching interests include mindfulness and meditation; yoga for runners, college students, and veterans.
A graduate of Siena College and SUNY Albany, Mary Beth has a Master’s degree in Social Work and practiced in school, home-based, and mental health settings for over 20 years. She has been working in higher education for the past 10 years. When not on her yoga mat, Mary Beth enjoys running, hiking and outdoor activities with her family.
