Tanya has always been a competitive athlete and spent more than a decade running marathons and training for distance races. In 2013, shortly after moving to the Capital Region, she rediscovered yoga.

Tanya’s decision to leave a fast-paced dynamic career in technology contributed to the process of taking her yoga practice to the next level. As a new mom, in a new community, she began to realize that her body, mind and heart were in conflicting places. Tanya started attending barre classes at The Hot Yoga Spot to mix up her running and fitness routine, eventually leading her to a Baptiste Yoga class. What started as a physical practice, quickly became a passion. Her mind, body and spirit were rediscovered and brought into alignment. She completed her first 40 Days to Personal Revolution and discovered that she wanted to deepen her practice and share it with others.

Tanya is a Tier 1/200 hour Baptiste Certified Instructor and is YOD Level 1 Certified. She completed Level One, Level Two, Level Three, Art of Assisting and Being of Power with Baron Baptiste, Paige Elenson and the Baptiste Institute. In addition to her training, Tanya co-facilitates the 40 Days to Personal Revolution program. She continues to educate herself and is attending the Baptiste Foundation’s #unstoppable program in 2017. Tanya is the President of Shenendeyoga, a non-profit that is working to create an unstoppable, resilient, empowered young community through the practices of mindfulness and yoga.
