Leslie
Leslie’s interest in hot yoga began in 2009. Having never done yoga before, it was all new to her. She quickly fell in love with it, as the physical benefits were matched with a feeling of mental well-being. In 2013, she began taking classes at The Hot Yoga Spot, and continues to attend classes as a student to grow her practice and knowledge.
In December 2017, Leslie was introduced to barre and was immediately intrigued. She loved how barre workouts really combined aspects of yoga, Pilates, ballet and even some classic strength training. In November 2019, Leslie completed the BarreFlow training and became a certified instructor. She began teaching in January 2020. During the pandemic, Leslie continued to take classes virtually, to increase her knowledge and practice.
As a school psychologist and professional working in the field of mental health, finding a fitness journey that has immense physical, as well as psychological health benefits, is so important. As music has always been a huge part of her life and it has such a positive correlation with mood, Leslie loves adding it to her classes. She hopes that a great playlist, combined with a full body workout, will have students feeling empowered both physically and mentally, when they leave class.
